The Author
E. S. Sierra
E. S. Sierra is a Hispanic/Latino LGBTQ+ author originally from Minnesota, but has resided longest in his current home of Tampa Bay, Florida, with his Venice, Florida–born husband and daughter.
E. S. was raised on The WB's emotionally resonant, music-driven dramas, and is drawn to narratives that layer sound and feeling, love in all its many forms, and tales of coming of age at any age.
He is a graduate of The University of South Florida, worked previously as a classroom teacher, then as a parent educator with a focus on child development for a non-profit called Champions For Children, before transitioning into being a full-time father and part-time writer.
E. S. was able to achieve his lifelong dream of fatherhood through a life-changing journey of adoption with his supportive husband and family by his side. Now, with one lifelong dream achieved, he hopes to pursue another by becoming a career storyteller — and teaching his daughter to hold onto the moments and dreams that inspire her.

In a sentence
"I write to hold onto the moments which inspire me—so that they may become a part of me."
— E. S. Sierra
